PSL Software Outsourcing Team Interview
Hi, my name is Gustavo Arroyave and I have been working here for a long time, more than 15 years now. And, yeah that's a bit of me.
What about PSL's culture resonates with you the most?
Openness is key for new people joining the company. They need to be aware of this, so we constantly motivate people to provide feedback. And, openness is key to improving as a person and also as a professional. This is the most important thing, never take any criticisms or direct feedback as something wrong. This is an opportunity for everyone to improve.
What roles have you held at PSL?
Well, so as I mentioned I have been working here for a long time, so I played multiple roles. I would consider myself a software developer. I started as a developer, then I became a technical lead, a Solutions Architect, and then I started to transition to some management roles like a scrum master. Yeah, I played multiple roles in technical and management areas for several years, and lately I have been moving back to development. So, now I'm a back-end developer.
That's one of the cool things here, that you can move from one role to another if you're willing to do so right. That's one of the things that I really appreciate about PSL.
What makes you most excited to come to work everyday?
I would like to feel that I am adding value to what we do here. This is not a way for me to get by. I want to make something important and I want to help people. I want to help the team to succeed and I'm feeling I'm doing good while doing these things and that's what keeps me motivated to come every day here.
